Can You Get a Carry Permit in Maryland? We get this question often, how can I get a permit to carry a firearm in Maryland. I could say, "good luck" - however that is not the truth! We have helped hundreds get a permit to carry a gun in Maryland, some of them don't even live in the state. Granted, with over 40+ states being "shall issue" states, believing that the lives of their citizens are a good enough reason to carry a firearm, Maryland is really in a differnt world when it comes to issuing carry permits. That said, because I know I will hear worse, you can get a permit if you qualify.
