Maryland Wear & Carry Permit

This is a special training held at the OC Marlin Club on Monday, October 16th.  We will be shooting on the range the remainder of the week in both Willards and Cambridge

The Maryland Wear and Carry is the  concealed handgun permit to carry a firearm in Maryland .  We are the #1 advocate of helping those who qualify for a permit, get the permit!  We offer not only the most inclusive training, but also the most flexible. Fortress Training Wear And Carry Program

The Maryland Wear and Carry programs are taught throughout Maryland by full time firearms instructors.  Carrying a firearm is a responsibility, and one that Fortress Training takes very seriously.  As a result, we provide some of the most professional training in the state.  Our training is split into two 8 hour days.  The first day is a classroom day and second day is a 300 round course of fire.  Our complete 16 hour training program, including the 300 round tactical course is $350.00.

​​Do You Qualify For a Maryland Permit?

Day 1 Classroom Training

     We provide an inside look of the process you will go through including; firearm safety, Maryland firearm laws, and reasons why using a firearm should be your last choice.  We will explore the  physiological and psychological aspects of what happen to you when under the stress of an attack.  You will also learn how to handle the 911 call after someone has been shot.  Day Two you will add during your classroom training.  That day will focus on using the tool to defend yourself, and making sure you can use it efficiently and effectively.  

Firing Range Training

 Fortress Training focuses on two objectives during our carry training. One is to meet you at the skill level you come with, and raise it to increase your competency and efficiency with the tool you selected to defend yourself.  Second, is to ensure that you will be a safe and capable firearms handler.

Our 300 round day focuses on accuracy, speed, round counting and shoot / no shoot senarios. Our tactical training is ideal for someone who really wants to master the pistol.

* Minimum caliber allowed for tactical training is a .380 firearm.  However, you can use a lower caliber for the testing portion if you desire.*
